California Asset Building Coalition

  • Sobre Nós

The California Asset Building Coalition (CABC) is the largest statewide coalition of diverse organizations that provide direct assistance and advocacy for low-income families and individuals to save money, invest for the future, and achieve economic mobility. CABC builds the collective power of asset builders to advance statewide policies and programs that help Californians create the household and community wealth necessary for housing and food security and to end intergenerational racist economic oppression.

CABC connects and mobilizes leaders across the asset building movement, including stewards of family savings programs for children, higher education, and retirement; financial planners, coaches, and counselors; micro- and small-business technical assistance providers, local, state, and national policy advocates, advocates for people targeted for criminal prosecution and incarceration and punitive civil penalties; immigrant rights advocates; economic scholars; youth and senior advocates, and many more. We help asset builders identify how policy proposals would affect their communities, build relationships with legislative and agency staff, and connect with allies in different sectors who share the same impact goals.
