Congregation Or Chadash

Congregation Or Chadash is a Reform Jewish synagogue and center serving northern Montgomery and southern Frederick counties where you can observe your Jewish faith along with others of like mind. Members of our community join together to joyously observe the Sabbath and celebrate Jewish Holidays throughout the year. We welcome children, especially at our monthly Family and Tot Shabbat services. Our congregation is a warm and caring place to celebrate all your family's lifecycle events, from baby namings to Bar/ Bat Mitzvahs, Confirmation, weddings, conversions and funerals, with the support of our temple family.

The goal of Congregation Or Chadash is to meet the spiritual, educational and social needs of our members within a Reform Jewish context. We are a family-oriented congregation dedicated to providing the best religious programming in a caring and friendly atmosphere. We welcome all people, including interfaith families, who wish to bring Judaism into their lives and become active members of the Jewish Community.
