* T.R.A.C. is a camp where youth ages 12-16 receive encouragement of hope, while participating in activities that improve trust, self-value & teamwork. * T.R.A.C. volunteers must have a compassionate heart for teens, especially for those who have experienced abuse & neglect. * T.R.A.C. teens experience a variety of activities. Challenge Course provides a time to learn communication, solve problems & develop trust. * T.R.A.C. volunteers are interviewed, background checked & trained in T.R.A.C. policies. Standards for working with youth in foster care, along with guidelines of interacting with these teens at camp, are also provided during training. ** Does a few days at camp make a difference? > From one of our teens: This camp will change my life forever. I have made good friends at camp and I have learned to trust others. I pray for all the people who do T.R.A.C.s across the country because I want more to start for kids like me. > From a foster parent: As we are completing forms for my foster girls to return to T.R.A.C. again this summer, it seems appropriate to let you know how much your camp means to my girls. T.R.A.C. has been a wonderful experience for each girl. I can’t even begin to comprehend the amount of time, energy and commitment needed from so many dedicated people to create this special experience. You and your staff are incredible. Teen Reach is a wonderful gift that you give each foster child. Thank you for creating life-long memories for them.
