The mission and philosphy of Heartland Hospice is to provide quality hospice care to patients with a terminal illness and to support their caregivers. The quality of life for those we serve is enhanced through palliative and specialized supportive care designed to meet the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patients and caregivers.

At Heartland Hospice, volunteers are a vital component for providing quality care to hospice patients and families. Volunteers function in a variety of roles: administrative, speciail projects, and patient/family visits. Volunteers offer quality enhancing relationships with patients and their families that go beyond quantifieable measures.

Heartland Hospice is in search of caring and dedicated individuals/groups with an interest in serving those with advanced illnesses in the Triangle. We are seeking volunteers for a variety of roles including friendly visitors, clerical volunteers, bakers, florists, handymen/women, musicians, Pet Therapists, sewers, crafters, CNA's, beauticians, the sky is the limit!
