24th STreet Theatre

24th Street Theatre uses art to save the lives of inner-city children by positively engaging them with a host of outreach and educational programs. Our After ‘Cool Theatre Program has provided thousands of dollars worth of scholarships to neighborhood youth for after-school theatre classes that are focused on building self-esteem, encouraging positive community engagement, and developing language, vocabulary, communications skills and nonviolent problem-resolution techniques. 24th Street staff engage in one-on-one mentorships with at-risk neighborhood youth ages 6-18 through the Leaders Creating Leaders Program, using theatre and the arts to promote academic achievement and good citizenship. We also provide extensive community outreach programming to our neighborhood residents with our Teatro Nuevo program and the highest quality arts education in schools throughout Los Angeles with our Enter Stage Right program. In addition, our acclaimed professional productions have garnered critical acclaim and toured internationally. We create excellent art that is used to positively impact our community, our city and our world.
