GreenPrisons.org is an outgrowth of the American Correctional Association's (ACA) newest standing committee, the "Clean and Green Committee". GreenPrisons.org's mission is to create an online resource for corrections practitioners and providers of sustainable products and services to learn about each other. The online resources of GreenPrisons.org are supported by professional development in the form of online learning, webinars, and an annual conference. Additionally, Green Prisons will be present at regional and national conferences to explain the advantages to correctional practitioners of employing sustainable practices in the management of their facilities.
