Children's Creativity Museum

Located in downtown San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Gardens, the Children’s Creativity Museum (CCM) has a mission to nurture creativity and collaboration in all children and families. The museum provides hands-on, multimedia arts and technology experiences and education for children aged 2-12 and their caring adults. The museum serves over 100,000 visitors annually in the museum with thousands more enjoying the LeRoy King Carousel and family performances in the Creativity Theater. In addition to museum exhibitions and workshops, CCM also hosts about 7000 school children on field trips, summer camps, and group workshops. The organization will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018-19.

The Children’s Creativity Museum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization governed by an active, 12-member Board of Directors, and operates with a full-time staff of 16, part-time staff of 9, and on-call educators and interns. Current membership is nearly 1500 households. The Museum’s FY15 operating budget is approximately $2.1M with support from the City and County of San Francisco, earned income, grants, and individual contributions. CCM is currently a “majority-minority” organization with people of color forming a majority of the Board of Directors, staff, and visitorship.

CCM is a vibrant organization in the middle of a dynamic neighborhood. The organization is currently undergoing strategic planning and staff are active participants in shaping the future of this organization to increase our impact and the depth of our community relationships.
