Stitching Timbo Afrika

  • Missão

Stitching Timbo Afrika is a Dutch-registered non-profit organisation dedicated to wildlife conservation and habitat restoration across Africa. Established in 2009 in memory of Tim Weerstand, a young nature enthusiast, the foundation seeks to protect Africa’s natural ecosystems while fostering sustainable community development. Its core mission revolves around wildlife research, species reintroduction, anti-poaching initiatives, and the creation of protected game reserves. One of its flagship projects is the Central Tuli Reserve in Botswana, where it works to establish wildlife corridors and reintroduce endangered species such as rhinos and sable antelope.

Beyond conservation, the foundation prioritizes community engagement by providing employment, training, and educational support. Through partnerships with local communities, it fosters environmental stewardship while improving local livelihoods. Additionally, Stichting Timbo Afrika operates sustainable tourism ventures such as Koro River Camp and Koro Island Camp where revenue directly funds conservation projects. By integrating wildlife protection, community care, and responsible tourism, the foundation aims to ensure a thriving and sustainable future for Africa’s wildlife and its people.
