The mission of the Roads to Reading Initiative is to provide quality reading and educational materials to children's literacy programming in underserved communities in the United States

In 2001, Pathways Within began an initiative called Roadsto Reading. This initiative evolved as a result of its founder's heartfelt belief in the power of reading as a fundamental means of stimulating the learning process of children and helping them master academic subjects. Reading at an early age is the catalyst that leads children to desire academic excellence. It encourages them to read even more difficult materials and helps them attain the verbal skills necessary to be successful in various levels of education and in any endeavor to which they may aspire.
