Arcus Behavioral Health & Wellness is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community mental health agency. Arcus is Latin for "arc or rainbow." We strongly agree with Dr. Maya Angelou's sentiment about being a 'rainbow in the clouds' through practicing kindness and compassion. And yet, we are often too focused on our deficits and flaws. We have learned that although we should treat others with positive regard and kindness, we frequently do not practice that same compassion towards ourselves.
Our approach to therapy and counseling is to create a warm, culturally-sensitive, and accepting atmosphere where clients feel supported, understood, and we work collaboratively to solve problems. We seek to empower, identify internal strengths, and help individuals find more meaning, joy, and fulfillment from their lives and relationships.
