St. Vincent de Paul North Sound Council is grassroots volunteer-driven organization operating since 1928 in North Puget Sound. We are a locally controlled 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency. We are able to fill needed gaps in social services, for example grocery store items not covered by SNAP benefits, medication for people on a limited budget, rental assistance, assisting with utility payments.
St. Vincent de Paul North Sound council has two non-profit thrift stores, which support our mission through goods sold. Our volunteers have local food pantries and provide Holiday baskets.
Thrift Store: We provide SVdP store vouchers to people to receive clothing, furniture, household items at no cost. Proceeds from our stores support this voucher system.
Resource Center: located in Monroe WA, we collaborate with several agencies to provide services to Sky Valley community.
Beds Program: provide free new beds to qualified people
Financial assistance: we are able to help pay bills, help with food/gas/laundry vouchers
Friends of the Poor: Supported by our stores, 100% of the money is spent directly on services to the poor.
