The Allegheny West Conference (AWC) of Seventh-day Adventists is a regional faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, education, community engagement, and spiritual growth. We serve 78 congregations across Ohio, West Virginia, and western Pennsylvania, impacting thousands of lives through mission-focused ministry.

Our Mission

AWC exists to advance God’s kingdom by supporting local churches and ministries in their mission to share hope, provide spiritual guidance, and serve their communities. We believe in leading with love, practicing kindness, and staying mission-focused in everything we do.

What We Do

Our work spans multiple areas of ministry and community impact. We provide leadership development and training for pastors and church leaders across our territory. We coordinate evangelistic campaigns and community outreach initiatives that address both spiritual and practical needs. Our educational programs serve students from elementary through university levels through our schools and educational institutions. We develop and support youth and young adult ministries that engage the next generation in meaningful faith experiences. Our health and wellness initiatives promote holistic well-being in communities we serve. We provide resources and support for family ministries, women’s ministries, children’s programs, and specialized outreach efforts.

Our Communication Department

The AWC Communication Department is at the forefront of our digital transformation. We’re building modern systems to tell the stories of God’s work across our 78 churches and equip local congregations with the tools they need to share their message effectively. Our team creates content for newsletters, social media, video production, web platforms, and print materials. We support churches with brand development, media resources, and communication training.

Our Vision for Growth

AWC is in an exciting season of growth and transformation. We’re building sustainable revenue models through monetized social media platforms, online training courses, and church subscription services. We’re implementing cutting-edge technology including AI-powered workflows, custom web platforms, and automated communication systems. We’re expanding our reach beyond our conference to serve church communicators nationwide through CREE8 Academy. We’re creating paid positions as our revenue grows, with interns receiving first consideration.

Our Territory

The Allegheny West Conference serves diverse communities across three states. In Ohio, we serve churches from Cleveland to Cincinnati, Columbus to Toledo. In West Virginia, our churches span from the panhandle to the southern regions. In western Pennsylvania, we serve congregations in the Pittsburgh area and surrounding communities. Our 78 congregations include English-speaking churches, Hispanic ministries, Haitian congregations, Brazilian communities, and Korean fellowships.
