AINA MADAGASCAR ASSOCIATION

Aina Madagascar literally means “Soul of living of Madagascar”, is an alternate to traditional tourism that focuses on intercultural exchanging relations in equitable way and is an initiative to offer travelers a chance to live and take part in community and not just observe it from afar. The tourism activities and businesses are developed and operated by local community members and certainly with their consent and support.

Aina Madagascar is a non-profit organization, its main goal is on one hand to establish an alternate to mass tourism and get involved in community development projects in villageswe work with.Aina Madagascar’s core values are to establish and develop relationship between Malagasy people and all Global-minded citizens, to empower people through education and relive poverty.

In the long-tem, we extremely hope that we give a new way of thinking of the new generation, improve the social and physical environment in poorest and isolated areas in Madagascar.Besides, we believe that more understanding & coexistence will be brought into the humanity

Here are our main goals:*Contribute to intercultural understanding and tolerance/ *Inform travelers of the culture, politics and economy of the communities visited/ *Anticipate and respect local cultures’ expectations and assumptions/ *Support the integrity of local cultures by favoring businesses which conserve cultural heritage and traditional values/ *Support local economies by purchasing local goods and participating with small local business/ *Conserve resources by seeking out businesses that are environmentally conscious, and by using the least possible amount of non-renewable resources
