Sobre Nós

Our mission is to lead in the development and delivery of effective solutions that empower individuals and strengthen families impacted by the criminal justice system.

J-Connect is a community-based mentoring model serving youth (ages 10-17) in who are involved with juvenile probation. This program collaborates closely with the state-wide CT Juvenile Justice Mentoring Network established in 2013, with administration and funding through the CT Governor’s Prevention Partnership and CT Court Support Services.Referrals are received by the Bridgeport and Stamford juvenile court districts. One-to-one community matches focus on supporting youth to build internal skills and assets to strengthen personal capacity and reduce recidivism. Mentors meet weekly with a mentee spending at least two (2) hours each week pursuing mutual interests, prosocial activities and assisting youth with life skills, encouraging positive behaviors and goal setting.
