Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now, Inc. (NEON), a private nonprofit organization, is a community action agency serving the greater Norwalk area including New Canaan, Greenwich, Westport, Westion, Wilton and Darien. Our mission is to reduce the conditions of poverty and to help low income families and residents to become self sufficient through the delivery of direct program services and advocacy at the state, federal and community level. NEON believes any social service program should not be a hand out but rather a hand up to a better life. NEON has adopted the motto of, "Give a Man a Fish and He'll Eat for a Day, Teach a man How to Fish and He'll Eat for a lifetime."
