Ten Thousand Villages Lincoln

Ten Thousand Villages' mission is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships.

We are a non-profit, fair trade store located in Lincoln's Haymarket. We were started here in Lincoln over 30 years ago by a small group of citizens who wanted to make a difference in the developing world by providing a marketplace for fairly traded handicrafts. 90% of our staff are volunteers and we are run by a local board of directors.
