Sobre Nós

Detroit Urban Debate Education (DUDE) is a non-profit student group at the University of Michigan that works with Detroit-area schools to provide opportunities for policy debaters, both inside and outside of class.

Our activities include: providing teaching and coaching assistants to debate classes and clubs, providing workshops in public speaking, argument theory and research methods to coaches, teachers and kids, assisting and facilitating participation of students in debate tournaments, and providing assistance for attending summer debate institutes.

There are lots of ways to get involved, from making a donation to volunteering to judge at a tournament to going to a school once a week to teach a class.

If you are an undergrad at Michigan and are interested in teaching debate, you can receive credit-hours for your time through a section of SOC 389.
