EAST TENNESSEE MINIATURE HORSE AND DONKEY RESCUE

ETMHD rescue is made up of volunteers who want to make a big difference in the lives of these little equines. ETMHD wants to improve the quality of life for miniature horses, donkeys and mules. Through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming we work to get every mini healthy, physically and mentally, and find them an appropriate home.

Our goal is to help mini owners learn how to properly care for and to build a relationship with their mini and to be there for people who have had life changes that do not allow them to keep their minis. We do go to auction several times a year and pull to keep minis and donkeys out of the slaughter pipeline. We serve the community by being an alternative to auction for minis in need.

Our volunteers help with everything from basic care and cleaning, training, special events, web design and data entry.
