Missão
“Magis” (pronounced màh-gis) is a Latin word that means “more and better.” The name signifies our efforts to provide, alongside local partners, quality and inclusive education and community development programs for marginalized and impoverished communities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Founded in 2005, Magis Americas is a shared work of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States (JCU) and Conferencia de Provinciales de América Latina y El Caribe (CPAL), and aims to create greater opportunities for collaboration and solidarity between the two conferences.
Sobre Nós
Friends of Fe y Alegría in the United States is an initiative of Magis Americas and the International Federation of Fe y Alegría. We work to raise awareness and engage US collaborators to support the important work and mission of Fe y Alegría around the world. We have three main lines of action: Global Citizenship Education, Institutional Relationships and Community Giving. We look forward to having you on board!
