Alliance for Excellent Education

The Alliance for Excellent Education is a Washington, DC-based policy, research, and advocacy organization that is helping to formulate and implement a national policy to provide proven, research-based assistance to the secondary schools that house our nation’s most academically vulnerable students - those six million youngsters who are most likely to drop out of high school or graduate unprepared for college and a productive future. The Alliance focuses its efforts around four major initiatives designed to raise adolescent literacy levels, improve teacher and principal quality, prepare students for college, and encourage the development of small and personalized learning environments.
