Thinking of Them Foundation is a private 501c3 not-for-profit corporation working to help children and families in the countryside of Peru. The foundation was established in March 2009 in Falls Church, Virginia.
A small group of Peruvian-American professionals and entrepreneurs in the Washington DC metro area, northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland, came together and made a commitment to support and collaborate with local Peruvian organizations to raise funds for the foundation.
Through a series of fundraising events, our organization has been able to impact the lives of approximately 500 children between the ages of 6 through 12 in the Districts of Nepaña, San Jacinto, Cerro Blanco, and Capellanía, all shantytowns in the Northern part of Peru, through our project called Primera Campaña Escolar (First School Campaign) begun in March 2010.
