Misr El Kheir Foundation- UK (MEK-UK) is a charity (registered with the Charity Commission under the number 1151543) founded by a group of civic-minded Egyptians and British-Egyptians in order to catalyze sustainable human development efforts in Egypt and empower the lives of Egyptians in need. The well-established Misr El Kheir Foundation in Egypt is the founding corporate member of MEK-UK. By acting as a channel for the transfer of intellectual and financial capital as well as the ideas and partnership initiatives of British-Egyptians and other interested communities and organizations, MEK-UK works with partners in Egypt in the areas of education, health, poverty relief, and culture. The Foundation aims to become an internationally recognized player in the field of knowledge and resource transfer between diaspora communities and their countries of origin, and to contribute to the overall enhancement and sustainable development of Egypt.
