Marine Environmental Research Institute

Founded in 1990, MERI is a scientific research and education organization dedicated to understanding the impacts of environmental pollutants on wildlife and human health, and interpreting this information to a broad audience. Current projects include a nationwide study on firefighters exposure to carcinogenic flame retardants and a long-term ecotoxicological investigation of northwestern Atlantic harbor seals.
