The Mother Teresa Institute (MTI) is an outgrowth of the work and activities of The Mother Teresa Center, a non-profit organization established and directed by the religious family founded by Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the Missionaries of Charity.
While the Center’s aim is to serve as a centralized and authoritative source of information on St. Teresa of Calcutta (better known throughout the world simply as Mother Teresa), to facilitate the spread of authentic devotion to her, and to safeguard her words and image from misuse or abuse, the Mother Teresa Institute (MTI) is directed towards a more profound study of Mother Teresa’s life, work, spirituality and message.
The MTI, located in Washington, DC, across from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
