Aspire Counseling

Aspire Counseling (established as Child Center and Adult Services, Inc.) is a private, non-profit agency providing mental healthcare to children, adults and families in Montgomery County. For 35 years Aspire has met residents’ mental health needs regardless of income. Mission: To provide treatment that decreases suffering due to mental health problems, and increases individuals’ ability to engage in positive relationships and thrive at home, at work, and in school. Programs and services: In our Gaithersburg office, we provide mental health therapy to over 600 clients/year. The Gaithersburg office accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurances. We offer a sliding fee scale for uninsured. Aspire also runs community based programs for high-risk, often undocumented adults and families. Community programs serve an additional 600 people per year. Our community programs include:

• Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies: Free home based therapy for pregnant women and mothers with perinatal depression
• Community Cares: mental health therapy offered at safety net primary care clinics
• Free Support Groups: for young adults with MS and for parents of children with disabilities
• Positive Aging Program:individual and group therapy and psychoeducation in subsidized housing for low-income seniors and at the Rockville Senior Center
