Liberation Prison Project is a 501(C)3 which provides meditation instruction, spiritual support, free books and materials, a correspondence course, pen pals and other services (i.e. networking with other organizations) to incarcerated individuals. LPP doesn't care what "brand" of religion a prisoner practices, but sends free materials to all who request them. It has been proven that friendly contact reduces recidivisim, though LPP doesn't aim to free people from their physical prisons, but from the destructive emotional and psychological prison of anger, depression and despair.
