African Refuge is a Staten Island based, volunteer-driven non-profit organization. Our mission is to enhance the lives of locally disadvantaged peoples, as well as immigrants and refugees whose hopes have been shattered due to abuse, poverty, depression, and the lingering effects of war. We operate a drop-in center that promotes and develops crucial linkages between the African community and social service providers In Staten Island. Through outreach, information and referral services, family and youth support programs, we identify and serve the needs of our community members.
