Missão
LA Legal Assistant organizes & operates a weekly farmer’s market in Leimert Park, CA. Leimert Park is the Mecca of Black Culture in Los Angeles. The African Marketplace & Drum Circle weekly farmer’s market is a celebration of Black Culture from across the African Diaspora.
The African Marketplace & Drum Circle Farmer’s market hosts more than 100 Black owned businesses, including street vendors, food vendors and local urban farmer’s. Our goal is to recycle Black dollars and support the growth of Black Entrepreneurs.
Sobre Nós
Street vendors and drum circles have been part of Leimert Park Village for decades. Over the years the marketplace has grown & evolved, yet the ancestors’ energy remains. The beat of the drum circle serves as the heart beat of the community. Artists & creatives of all kinds bless the marketplace with an endless variety of products from African clothing to waist beads to handmade oils and body butters to authentic Jamaican food. The African marketplace holds too many gifts and treasures to name...come join us, serve with us and bask in Black joy with us.
