Millions of students across the U. S. are affected by America’s "digital technology gap" due to the nonexistent or inadequate presence of technology in their homes. While computer access is available to nearly 95% of high-income households, 40% of households making under $30,000 in annual income lack a desktop or laptop computer in their homes. The need became even more pronounced during the COVID-19 Pandemic when many schools stopped holding in-person classes, necessitating families to rapidly adjust to virtual, on-line schooling and the requirement to work from home.
Laptops 4 Learning partners with public and private school districts, alternative schools, colleges, community organizations, churches and veteran support groups, to identify and connect with students and veterans who are without a computer. L4L's vision is to create the opportunity for ALL students in need to obtain the laptop technology needed to be successful.
