Since 2018, we've provided a vital resource previously lacking in the Northland: a safe, welcoming home for individuals experiencing homelessness to recover after hospital discharge for acute medical conditions. Our comfortable setting features private rooms, nutritious meals, and supportive staff, offering a crucial alternative to discharge to the streets or a shelter. This focus on healing prevents the needless, harmful, and costly cycle of hospital readmissions. During their stay at Bob Tavani House, we assist guests in securing housing and connecting with essential community resources, including social services, mental health care, and substance use treatment. Our goal is to empower them for a more stable future.
Our guiding principle, and our privilege, is to be "people for people who need people."
