Bergen's Promise -

• is designed, through referral, to coordinate the services, supports, and resources needed to help children with intense and complex behavioral and emotional needs, substance use issues or developmental disabilities and their families.
• believes in a model of care that builds on the input, voice, strengths, interests, and resources already present in the child, his or her family, extended family, and community.
• is a care management organization that designs, implements, and manages individual plans for children with complex emotional and behavioral challenges. The organization also has access to a full range of treatment and support services.
• is an outgrowth of the New Jersey Partnership for Children which strives to provide children and families with the assistance they need to thrive in their communities.

The goal is to make sure that children and families get help when and where they need it and to keep children in their schools, their homes and their communities.
