Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival Society

Sobre Nós

The annual Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival (FVBEF) is a registered Society that began as a nature walk in 1995. Over the years it has grown to be a weekend devoted to bringing people to witness the thousands of eagles that return to feast on the spawning salmon. The FVBEF has sites that are designated for eagle viewing with interpreters and guides that help to educate and create awareness of the importance of a healthy environment. There are also other sites that partner with the festival that house speakers, the Vancouver Zoo raptors display, environmental exhibitors, green businesses and offer a variety of walking and boating eagle tours. The Sts'Ailes (Chehalis) First Nations have a site that offers a incredible cultural experience from traditional dancers, beaders and artisans to a delicous salmon BBQ. The Harrison River has been recognized as the most important river system in Canada and designated as Canada's first Salmon Stronghold.
