Progress Place

The Progress Place Clubhouse is a centre of hope and opportunity for people with serious mental illness. The clubhouse is a holistic community mental health program that provides members psychosocial rehabilitation through a full range of social, vocational, housing and recreational opportunities. Every day men and women gain new hope, support and friendship from involvement with the clubhouse community.

In the clubhouse members volunteer to work to promote their recovery from serious mental illness. This work provides a sense of belonging and accomplishment. Working side by side with staff, members use and strenthen their abilities and gain confidence through running the clubhouse.

Relationships developed between members and staff are at the centre of all clubhouse interaction and the essence of the rehabilitation process. These relationships give members the strength and support to pursue paid employment and to secure independent housing in the community.
