The Abortion Fund of Western MA

Without funding, the right to abortion care is meaningless. Help us expand access and fight economic barriers to abortion!

The Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts (ARFWM) provides funding to women and girls seeking abortion care who cannot afford it.

Safe and legal abortions are an essential part of women's health care, but they are out of reach for many because a first-trimester abortion costs more than $500 and later procedures can cost much more. ARFWM is a community-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to overcoming the economic barriers to abortion care for women in Western Massachusetts.

We provide direct financial assistance to women who would not otherwise be able to pay for their abortion care: women who are uninsured, women whose insurance doesn’t cover abortion care, women who are undocumented, women in prison, and women in the military.

Join us! Volunteer your time or services; we welcome enthusiastic and empathetic volunteers who can counsel women on the phones, help with fundraisers to support our work, or share other skills. We welcome volunteers who can devote a lot of time as well as those with just a few hours a month to spare. We welcome students, retirees, and anyone who shares our commitment to reproductive justice and access for all women - we want you!
