The mission of the Catalytic Impact Foundation is to accelerate innovations in life sciences and healthcare, funding companies that address unmet medical needs. By employing the discipline of traditional venture capital, we invest philanthropic capital to support companies with transformative, life-sustaining technologies.

Catalytic Impact Foundation (CIF) is a mission-driven, 501(c)(3) organization that advances innovation in health and life sciences to address areas of high unmet medical need. CIF aggregates philanthropic capital to invest in early-stage companies creating transformative solutions with the potential for significant impact, particularly in underfunded areas such as women’s health, brain health (including mental health), children’s health, rare disease, aging and health equity. CIF is also committed to supporting women entrepreneurs, who receive less than 3% of venture capital funding in the U.S., with more than half of CIF’s portfolio companies led by women.
