Third Space DFW was created in 2019 as the collaborative effort of diverse queer creatives. As an organization, we strive to be space creators for the LGBTQIA+ community because we believe in the accessibility of resources for everyone. As part of our commitment to our mission, we’ve made safe spaces in disadvantaged areas that lack a queer presence.
Our primary focus is the Dallas-Fort Worth area because the area lacks an all-inclusive and creative queer representation, but we hope to expand our reach in the future. Openly queer spaces are usually confined to clubs or bars which are not always safe or easily accessible spaces for everyone. All our events aspire to create a safe space in our community for people to connect and thrive creatively. Queer people need to be seen and represented in a positive light in their community.
