Aspen Global Change Institute

The Aspen Global Change Institute (AGCI) is an independent Colorado non-profit founded in 1989. AGCI’s mission is to further scientific understanding of global environmental change. This work takes place in a wide array of arenas and includes policy-relevant research on causes, consequences, and solutions to global change, tailored communication and outreach to policy makers and the media, and educational and public outreach initiatives. The premise behind the founding of AGCI and its success to date is that Earth systems science and global environmental change studies require a unique enterprise, a collaborative effort across disciplines.
