FairPlay is a non-profit organization that seeks to enable these women to survive and prosper. We select and train single mothers to teach Spanish to international travelers and volunteers, supporting them in an independent job with reasonable hours and a fair wage. This way, the women have enough time and money to care for their children. Their children, in turn, have the advantages of education, food, and the chance to do what children do best—explore the world and the opportunities around them.
In addition, we’ve initiated a homestay program for our students with these women. Whether you’re taking Spanish lessons or participating in a homestay, you’re not just learning Spanish or experiencing the Peruvian culture—you’re contributing to the wellbeing and future of 22 families with over 50 children.
