Black Mountain Community Garden

The goal of Black Mountain Community Garden is to inspire personal empowerment and community spirit through cooperative, persistent, and bountiful food gardening. BMCG serves three main purposes: 1) It provides a space for families of the Swannanoa Valley to grow their own produce; 2) It supplies fresh fruits and vegetables to low-income families through local agencies such as Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministries, the Welcome Table, and Manna Food Bank; and 3) The garden teaches children and adults the life-long skills of growing food and sharing with your neighbor.
