Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio

Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio is an independently chartered affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), the largest nonprofit home builder worldwide.

Locally, Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio is on a mission to transform the lives of individuals in Southeast Ohio by working with families in need and advocating for affordable housing.

Since 1990, Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio has empowered 39 families to achieve their dreams of homeownership and break the cycle of poverty through our Homeownership Program. Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio also works to remove substandard houses from communities. In this way, we can transform entire neighborhoods, one block at a time.

Our homes are sold with zero-interest mortgages to local low-income families who contribute 250 hours of "sweat equity" toward Habitat projects. Mortgage principal payments are recycled back to build or renovate additional homes through our Fund for Humanity.
