Crickett's Answer for Cancer

Crickett’s Answer for Cancer is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization* that was formed in memory of Crickett Julius, who passed away in October of 2006, only four months after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at the age of 39. Crickett's mother and cousin founded Crickett’s Answer for Cancer to provide breast cancer clients with free wigs, mastectomy and lymphedema products, massage, facials, and other pampering services. In these small ways, We believe that women on the breast cancer journey shoujld still feel feminine and beautiful despite losing their hair and/or breasts.

A woman with breast cancer often feels a loss of her identity and self-esteem as a woman, but may consider wigs and other items too frivolous or just impossible to afford. Like many women, she may be busy caring for her children, family, and possibly even her own parents... all at once. As a result, she may place herself last on the priority list. Crickett’s Answer for Cancer reminds women with breast cancer to care for themselves too, as feeling good about themselves and having time for relaxation are important for healing, and for managing life with breast cancer. By providing no-cost products and services, we honor these courageous women with breast cancer, as well as the memory of Crickett Julius.
