Missão
The Earn-A-Bike Coop, is a San Antonio-based nonprofit organization committed to helping youth understand the value of healthy living. We believe that physical fitness is directly tied to mental and emotional well-being. Our goal is to teach youth healthy habits for life by creating programs that emphasize good nutrition and physical activity.
Sobre Nós
The Earn-A-Bike Coop engages the community through several programs, each focusing on getting people active!
- EAB@School is a tuition-free, youth development program that works with schools, project sponsors, and parents to incentivize students to engage in good behavior, reduce absenteeism, and the adoption of healthy living habits. Students that successfully complete the program earn a brand new GIANT bike.
- The EAB: Cycling Without Age program works with volunteers to reach and improve the lives of elderly people making nursing homes a place of joy and continued mobility.
- Our Community Bike Shop is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. Housed in the Ella Austin Community Center, our creative space is in the ideal location to provide easy access to maintenance and repair services.
