Founded in 2003, the Center for the Study of Asian American Health (CSAAH) is a National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute for Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center of Excellence dedicated to addressing health disparities among Asian Americans through research, training, and partnership. This multi-sectoral partnership of an academic medical and research center (NYU), several healthcare and public hospital organizations, and more than 55 community and government partners uses community-based participatory research (CBPR) principles as a framework for reducing health disparities in Asian American communities.
CSAAH is based in the Department of Population Health at the NYU School of Medicine.
