Touchstones Discussion Project

Touchstones® Discussion Project in partnership with Volunteer Maryland and AmeriCorps aims to build on 30 years of volunteerism with prisoners, veterans, and older adults to meet a growing need for civil engagement and stronger communities. Touchstones has been awarded an AmeriCorps (the “domestic Peace Corps”) Member position through Volunteer Maryland to engage volunteers and members of the community in discussion programs that connect, create community, and build collaboration. This AmeriCorps position is an 11-month volunteer commitment, during which the person selected will receive extensive training, a $13,250 living allowance and a $5,815 post-service education award.
