The Committee for Citizen Awareness (CCA), established in 1985, works to strengthen and enhance the American public's understanding of the democratic process to encourage good citizenship and increase voter participation across the nation at every level of government. The CCA is a non-partisan, non-profit 501c3 organization. Since its founding, the CCA has reached more than 30 million Americans through its highly acclaimed educational videotape series. The videos, customized for every congressional district in the nation, feature Bob Schieffer, Bob Dole, Caroline Kennedy, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, other leading members of the community and business executives to increase Americans' understanding of how our democracy works and how it impacts our lives.
