Camp Loyaltown, AHRC Nassau

Camp Loyaltown is a sleep away camp where children with developmental disabilities discover new strengths and experience the joys of friendship, fun, and personal achievement free from the challenges they face daily. Campers can start as young as four years old and can return to Loyaltown throughout their adult lives. Camp is located in the Catskill Mountains in the village of Hunter, NY, 125 miles north of NYC and 50 miles south of Albany, NY. We offer a traditional camp program with activities that include swimming, arts & crafts, cooking, boating, fabric arts, music, nature, athletics, dance, ceramics, woodworking, drama, and recreational games. Loyaltown is part of AHRC, Nassau Chapter, an organization that has been meeting the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families since 1947. AHRC was started by parents who wanted to give their children the opportunity for a full and independent life. Nassau AHRC offers a wide range of services for both children and adults, including education programs, day treatment and habilitation programs, vocational programs, residential living, and much more. Camp Loyaltown is a place where children with developmental disabilities flourish in a way unlike any other.
