FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOUNDATION INC

The Food for Thought Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to ending food deserts. The Food for Thought Foundation conducts community programming not limited to food drives, family sponsorship programs, and research.

Recently, The Food for Thought Foundation has launched a new program, Farms for Thought. Farms for thought is an agricultural technology program intended to empower communities with resilient and reliable food resources in tandem with educational resources. The program places autonomous vertical farms in schools along with a curriculum in order to create food supply hubs in schools that act as decentralized grocery stores for the nearby community.

We piloted our first Farms for Thought site program last year, and are currently launching the newest version of our program in October. Our goal is to create an expansion model that would allow us to expand to five additional schools while providing funding for Title 1 schools to host our program.
