Sobre Nós

  • School-Based  Mentoring (Impact or Sports Buddies)
In 2014, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado will support at least 1,870 one-to-one mentoring relationships between children facing adversity and adult volunteer mentors, including 1,430 in metro Denver and 440 in the Pikes Peak region. These mentoring relationships will impact youth by helping them to:
  • Improve their sense of self and sense of future.
  • Form positive relationships with peers and family.
  • Avoid risky or delinquent behavior.
  • Achieve educational success.
A Big Brother or Big Sister (Big) is the older friend or role model all younger kids deserve. A Big is a consistent adult in the life of a child who is ready to have fun, be silly, teach and be open to learning a few things along the way. As a Big you will be matched one-to-one with a deserving child in one of our available programs. Most of the children in our programs are at-risk, between the ages of 7-12 and live in single parent homes. Just by being a consistent friend to a child you can have a positive impact that may change a life.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
