European Law Monitor- Europe Direct

European Law Monitor is a not-for-profit, non-political, pan-European information service that aims to provide citizens and organisations across Europe with the ability to find and track new EU proposals, and provide a Europe wide platform for interested parties to exchange opinions and co-operate in presenting their views to European legislators.

The key aims of European Law Monitor-Europe Direct are -To alert consumers, NGOs, and businesses to any proposed Community legislation that might affect their areas of interest, so that they can become involved in the decision making process at an early stage. - To monitor the progress of legislation and update subscribers as to any amendments to their selected acts, so that they are kept aware of their timetable for making any representations. -Provide help and guidance to explain the legislative process and the general policies of the institutions of the Community. -To provide a resource to subscribers whereby interested parties can meet, exchange views, pool resources and cooperate in making representations to EU legislators.
