Over 3 million children and the adults that care for them are served each year by NAHEC’s network of 40 member interactive health education centers and 22 sustaining members in 27 states and the District of Columbia. They serve a vital role in education, especially in improving the well being of the nation’s youth, by providing the knowledge and awareness needed to make healthy life decisions, prevent disease and injury, and understand their bodies.
